The Special Education Department, Government of the Punjab, has officially announced the recruitment of School Teaching Interns (STIs) for various Special Education Institutions in District Gujrat. This initiative aims to fill vacant positions for the academic year 2025-26 and 2026-27, providing a unique opportunity for dedicated educators to serve children with special needs. Eligible candidates, including Men, Women, and Transgender individuals who are residents of Punjab, are encouraged to apply for these temporary, school-specific positions before the closing date.
Applicants must meet specific academic criteria tailored to specialized fields such as Hearing Impaired (HI), Visually Impaired (VI), and Physically Disabled (PD). For the SSET (BS-17) roles, a Master’s degree or BS (1st Division) in Special Education is required, while JSET (BS-16) roles require at least a 2nd Division. The age limit for all applicants is strictly 21-28 years, with no age relaxation applicable under the current STI policy. Successful candidates will receive a monthly honorarium of Rs. 45,000 for BS-17 and Rs. 40,000 for BS-16.
To apply, interested candidates must submit a complete application package including an updated CV, attested copies of CNIC, Domicile, Academic Certificates, and two passport-size photographs. Applications must reach the Office of the District Education Officer (Special Education) Gujrat by April 30, 2026, at 04:00 PM. Shortlisted candidates should prepare for interviews scheduled for May 07, 2026, at the Deputy Commissioner’s office. This is a non-transferable, temporary engagement for a duration of 9 months or until the arrival of a regular incumbent.
