The National Bank of Pakistan (NBP), recognized as “The Nation’s Bank,” has officially announced an executive career opportunity for the position of Head of Legal (EVP / SEVP) based in Karachi. As one of the largest and leading public sector financial institutions in Pakistan, NBP is seeking a highly qualified, dedicated, and experienced legal professional to lead its legal affairs division. This senior management appointment aims to strengthen the bank’s legal operations, manage regulatory risks, handle high-profile litigation, and advise executive leadership on corporate law matters.
To meet the eligibility requirements for this senior role, applicants must possess at least a Minimum LLB or equivalent degree from an HEC-recognized local or international institution, with candidates holding an LLM degree or relevant professional legal certifications being preferred. Candidates must have a minimum of 15 years of working experience in corporate law through reputable law firms or large-scale organizations, including at least 7 years in a senior legal leadership or strategic advisory role. The maximum age limit for interested applicants is 57 years as of the closing date for application submission.
Selected candidates will be appointed on a 3-year contractual basis (renewable at the discretion of management) and will report directly to the President & CEO.
